Definition

Y자 모양의 손잡이와 고무줄로 작은 물체(주로 돌)을 날릴 때 쓰는 작은 도구.

주로 장난감이나 작은 동물 사냥에 쓰임. 영국 영어에서는 'catapult'로도 부르며, '슬링'(고대 무기)과는 다름. 'slingshot 만들다', 'slingshot으로 쏘다'와 같이 사용된다.

He made a slingshot using a Y-shaped stick and a rubber band.
