倫理に反する行為や人、汚職・不正行為を指します。特に政治やビジネスの世界でよく使われます。

主に非公式な会話やメディアで、不正や汚職（例：政治家）に対して使われます。「sleaze bag（下劣な人）」や「political sleaze（政治の不祥事）」のような表現で使います。物理的な汚れには使いません。

The newspaper exposed sleaze in the government.
