激しい暴力や残酷な方法で殺されること。動物の食肉処理や、大規模な虐殺にも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

『屠殺』は動物、『虐殺』は人間の集団殺害に使われます。比喩的にスポーツなどの「圧倒的大敗」にも使われます。個人の穏やかな死には不適切です。
