ドアなどを勢いよく大きな音を立てて閉める、または何かを強く叩くこと。比喩的に厳しく批判する意味もある。

「Slam the door」はよく使われる表現です。実際の動作（物理的）にも、比喩的（批判）にも使います。「slap」（平手打ち）とは意味が異なります。
