Definition
O céu é o espaço que se vê acima da terra, onde as nuvens se movem e onde aparecem o sol, a lua e as estrelas. Também pode referir-se ao tempo ou ao aspeto do ar.

Normalmente usa-se com artigo: 'the sky' é muito mais comum do que 'sky' isolado. Combinações frequentes: 'blue sky', 'night sky', 'clear sky' e 'in the sky'. Em linguagem poética ou dramática, 'the skies' pode referir-se aos céus ou ao tempo.
