Definition

「スカート」は、腰から下に履く衣服で、足を部分的または全体的に覆います。「skirt」は周囲を回るという意味でも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

最も一般的な意味は女性や女の子の衣類です。ズボンには使いません。「スカート」の動詞用法（何かの端を迂回する）はあまり一般的ではありません。たとえば「wear skirts（スカートをはく）」、「long skirts（長いスカート）」。
