Definition
Como verbo, 'sink' significa ir hacia abajo hasta quedar bajo la superficie o hundirse en algo blando o profundo. Como sustantivo, es el recipiente de la cocina o el baño donde lavas cosas con agua corriente.

Es muy común como verbo y como sustantivo. Como verbo, aparecen mucho 'sink into', 'sink to the bottom' y usos figurados como 'my heart sank' o 'sink in' (entenderse por completo). Como sustantivo, en inglés puede referirse tanto al del baño como al de la cocina, pero no debe confundirse con 'faucet' (grifo).
