Definition

署名は、自分の名前を手書きで書いて本人確認や承認を示すものです。また、人やブランド、商品の特徴的なスタイルや特徴も表します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「署名」は主に公式な書類へのサインに使います。「signature dish」や「signature style」は、その人やブランドの特徴を表します。「autograph」（有名人のサイン）とは異なります。
