Definition
산탄총은 총신이 길고 여러 개의 작은 탄환을 쏘는 총기로, 주로 사냥이나 스포츠 사격에 사용됩니다. 자동차에서 앞좌석을 차지하는 사람을 은유적으로 표현하기도 합니다.
Usage Notes (Korean)
여러 자루의 총을 가리키는 복수형입니다. '더블배럴', '펌프액션', '재장전'과 자주 함께 쓰입니다. 'call shotgun'은 운전석 옆의 좌석을 먼저 차지하겠다는 표현입니다. 소총(rifle)과는 다릅니다.
