Definition

シリングは、一部の国（ケニア、ウガンダ、タンザニアなど）で使われている通貨の単位です。イギリスでは昔使用され、1シリングは1ポンドの20分の1でした。

「シリングス」は複数形で、現代イギリスでは使われません。現在は主に東アフリカで通貨として使われています。「shilling」という動詞の意味とは無関係ですので注意しましょう。
