株式とは、特に会社の所有権の一部を表す等しい分け前です。株式を持つと、その会社の一部を所有していることになります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にビジネスや投資に関する場面で使われ、「株を買う」「株を売る」「株主」などの表現が一般的です。複数形「株式」は会社単位で使われます。
