「shapes」は、丸や四角、三角形のような物のかたちや輪郭を指します。また全体としての姿や外見にも使われます。

通常「shapes」は名詞の複数形で使います。算数、美術、デザインなどでよく登場します。「basic shapes」「different shapes and sizes」「cut out shapes」などの表現があります。
