下水汚水

Definition

家庭や工場などからパイプや排水路を通して運ばれる汚れた水や廃材のこと。

「下水」や「汚水」は主に汚れた排水に使われる言葉。「下水処理場」「下水システム」などとよく使う。きれいな水や固形ごみには使わない。

The city treats its sewage before releasing it into the river.
