ある事柄についての感情や、感情に基づく意見や態度を指します。事実よりも感情に左右される態度や考え方も含まれます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「sentiment」はフォーマルな言葉で、主に文章や改まった場面で使われます。「public sentiment」「patriotic sentiment」などのように、感情による意見や社会的雰囲気を表すときによく使います。「sentimental」（感傷的）と混同しないようにしましょう。
