缺乏意義、目的或理由的；毫無意義的。也可以指失去知覺的，如被擊暈或無反應的。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))

兩個不同含義：(1) 毫無意義/荒謬的（'senseless violence'、'senseless waste'）；(2) 失去知覺的（'beaten senseless'、'knocked senseless'）。第一個含義帶有強烈的不滿。
