セクターとは、経済や社会、活動分野など大きなものの一部や区分のことです。数学では、円の一部である扇形も指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

ビジネスや政府、学術で『public sector』『private sector』『health sector』のように使われます。『field』『area』よりも形式的で広い意味です。数学では円の『扇形』にだけ使います。
