椅子や席などに座っている状態を表します。主にフォーマルな場面や案内で使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「be seated」や「remain seated」のような表現でよく使われ、飲食店や式典などで礼儀正しく案内する際に使われます。「sitting」よりも丁寧でフォーマルです。「seat someone」とは違い、自分が座っている状態だけを表します。
