Definition

넓고 짠 물이 있는 곳을 말하며, 특정 지역을 가리키기도 합니다. 아주 많은 양을 비유적으로 표현할 때도 씁니다.

'the sea', 'by the sea', 'at sea'처럼 다양한 구에서 많이 쓰입니다. 지리적으로는 'ocean'보다 작지만 일상에서 구분 없이 사용되기도 합니다. 'a sea of ~'는 양이 많은 것을 비유할 때 씁니다.
