Heykel; taş, metal, ahşap veya başka malzemeler şekil verilerek yapılan üç boyutlu bir sanat eseridir. Heykel, figür ya da yaratıcı herhangi bir form olabilir.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
‘Heykel’, hem yapılan eser hem de sanat dalı için kullanılır. 'Bronz heykel', 'kamusal heykel', 'soyut heykel' gibi ifadeler yaygındır. ‘Heykel’, insan veya hayvan figürü olan ‘statü’den daha kapsamlıdır.
