Definition

肌や物の表面がこすれてできる小さな傷や跡。また、困難な状況やちょっとしたトラブルも指す。

「scrapes」は、膝などの小さなすり傷に使います。「get into scrapes」は軽いトラブルや困難に遭う意味。「scratch（引っかき傷）」より広く、荒い傷です。
