用手匆忙或笨拙地翻找東西，也可以指用手指抓撓。'Scrabble' 也是很有名的拼字遊戲名。

'Scrabble' 作動詞較為正式且有些過時，用於描述笨拙地找東西（如 'scrabble for keys'）。作專有名詞指拼字遊戲。不要與 'scribble'（亂寫）混淆。
