学校

Definition

子どもや若者が読み書きや算数などを学ぶために通う場所。教育機関や学ぶ期間自体を指すこともあります。

「学校」はフォーマル・インフォーマルの両方で使われます。「高校」「小学校」「学校の日」などの言葉とよく一緒に使います。「大学」や「カレッジ」とは区別してください。また、「魚の群れ（school of fish）」のような比喩的表現でも使います。

She goes to school every day to learn.
