深入研究某一领域的人，尤其指学术或知识领域的专家。通常指专家、研究者或获得奖学金的人。

“Scholars” 多用于正式或学术场合。常见搭配有“leading scholars”（著名学者）、“scholars believe”（学者认为）。有时指获得奖学金的学生。不要与普通“学生”（students）混淆，后者不一定是专家。
