香り匂い (追跡用)

Definition

香りは、主に心地よいまたははっきりとした匂いのことです。また、人や動物がたどる匂いの跡を指すこともあります。

「香り」は主に良い匂いや上品な雰囲気を伝えます。「匂い」は中立〜どちらの意味でも使われます。製品名や花・石鹸の説明によく使います。「追跡用」は後をたどる時に使います。

The room had a sweet scent of flowers.

部屋には花の甘い**香り**が漂っていた。

The dog followed the scent into the forest.

犬は**匂い**をたどって森の中へ入った。

This soap has a fresh lemon scent.
