Definition

誰かを怖がらせる、恐怖を感じさせること。「scare」の進行形としてよく使われる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「is scaring me」や「stop scaring the dog」などの形で使う。形容詞には通常「scary」を使い、「scaring thought」はあまり言わない。「scaring」（怖がらせる）と「scared」（怖がっている）を混同しないように。
