自分の期待や願いが満たされたとき、またはうまくやり遂げたときに感じる満足や充実感のことです。

「customer satisfaction」「job satisfaction」などの表現でよく使われます。通常は数えられません。「satisfactory（満足できる）」とは異なり、感情そのものを表します。
