サルーンとは、アメリカ西部の酒場や、人々が集まって過ごす大きな部屋、またはイギリス英語ではセダンタイプの車を指します。

「saloon」は西部劇など古い時代や歴史的な場面でよく使われる表現です。現代のバーには「bar」を使います。イギリス英語で車種を指すことがありますが、日本語ではほぼ使いません。
