Definition

葉や紙、布などが動いて出るやわらかい音のこと。ものを動かしてこの音を出すことも指す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

静かな自然の音や、人がこっそり動く際の音によく使う。「the rustle of leaves」のような表現で多く使われ、大きな音には使わない。
