Definition

একটি পালের সবচেয়ে ছোট বা দুর্বল প্রাণী, বিশেষ করে একসঙ্গে জন্মানো ভাইবোনদের মধ্যে। কখনও কখনও এটি খুব ছোট বা দুর্বল মানুষকে অপমানজনকভাবে বোঝাতে ব্যবহার হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

ব্যক্তির ক্ষেত্রে অপমানজনক, পশুর ক্ষেত্রে নিরপেক্ষ। 'the runt of the litter' বিশেষভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। মানুষের জন্য শব্দটি এড়ানো উচিত।
