কেউ যখন ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে দেরি করে, অজুহাত দেয় বা সরাসরি উত্তর না দিয়ে দায়িত্ব এড়ানোর চেষ্টা করে।

অফিস, গ্রাহকসেবা বা بيرোক্র্যাসি নিয়ে হতাশা প্রকাশ করতে কথোপকথনে ব্যবহার হয়। সাধারণত 'give someone the runaround' ও 'get the runaround' হিসাবে শোনা যায়।
