關於某事或某人不真實或未經證實的消息，經常在人羣中流傳。謠言通常沒有事實根據。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))
多用於非正式場合；'rumours' 為英式拼法，美式為 'rumors'。常見片語有“spread rumours”（散播謠言）、“rumours are flying”（謠言四起）。常出現於社交、職場和學校環境。不要與“gossip”（閒聊、八卦）混淆，gossip 並不一定是假消息。
