Definition

雷やエンジンのような低くて続く音。また、お腹が空いたときの音や、スラングで集団のケンカも指すことがある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

雷やお腹の音、エンジン音など、低く続く音に使います。スラングでは「乱闘」を指すことも。'the rumble of thunder' や 'my stomach rumbled' 等の表現で使います。
