Definition

物や状況をひどく損なって使えなくしてしまうこと。壊れた建物の跡などにも使われる言葉。

動詞と名詞の両方でよく使われます。'ruin the day'や'ruin your clothes'など幅広く使え、物理的なものだけでなく感情的にも使用します。小さな失敗にも使うことがあります。

The rain ruined our picnic.
