'Rue' औपचारिक और साहित्यिक शब्द है, आम बोलचाल में नहीं आता। आम तौर पर 'regret' का प्रयोग होता है। 'You’ll rue the day...' जैसी अभिव्यक्तियों में दिखता है। इसे पौधे 'रू' से न मिलाएँ।
