Definition

誰かを立派だと思って敬意を払うこと。また、「in some respects」などの表現では、物事の側面や観点を表す。

通常は動詞の三人称単数形。名詞の複数形は慣用句（例：『in many respects』）で使われる。'respectful'や'respectfully'とは意味が異なるので注意。

She respects her grandparents very much.

彼女は祖父母をとても**尊敬しています**。

He respects the rules at school.

彼は学校の規則を**守ります（尊敬します）**。

In some respects, this job is easy.

いくつかの**点**では、この仕事は簡単です。
