Definition

指對某事進行抵抗、不向其屈服，或剋制自己不去做想做的事。它可以表示對力量、觀點、變化的反抗，也可以表示抵擋誘惑的自制力。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))

常見搭配有 'resist pressure', 'resist change', 'resist temptation', 'resist the urge to...'. 'Resist' 通常比 'fight' 更正式，在口語和書面語中都很常見。不要說 'resist to'；要直接說 'resist' 後接受詞，或用 'resist doing'。
