Definition

자발적으로 직장이나 직위를 그만두는 것. 또한 바꿀 수 없는 상황을 담담하게 받아들이는 태도를 의미함.

직장 내에서 공식적으로 사용되며('사직서', '사직을 받아들이다'), 체념은 상황을 받아들이는 태도를 말함. '퇴직', '해고'와는 다름.

I handed in my resignation yesterday.

나는 어제 **사직**서를 제출했다.
