Definition

একটি বাসস্থান বা নিবাস হলো এমন জায়গা যেখানে কেউ থাকে, বিশেষত অফিসিয়াল বা আইনি ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার হয়। বড় বা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বাড়িকেও বোঝাতে পারে।

'residence' খুবই আনুষ্ঠানিক শব্দ; দৈনন্দিন কথাবার্তায় সাধারণত 'বাড়ি', 'ফ্ল্যাট' ব্যবহার হয়। 'place of residence', 'permanent residence', 'official residence' ইত্যাদিতে প্রচলিত।
