救助する救助

Definition

人や動物、物を危険や困難な状況から助け出すこと。また、その行為自体も指す。

動詞と名詞として使われることが多い。“rescue a child”は「子供を救助する」、“rescue operation”は「救助活動」。'rescue team'や'come to the rescue'のような表現も一般的。単なる助けるより、緊急性や危険が強調される。

The firefighters rescued the cat from the tree.

消防士が木から猫を**救助しました**。

We called a rescue team after the accident.

事故の後、私たちは**救助**チームを呼びました。

The dog was rescued by a neighbor.
