Definition

評判とは、人や物に対して過去の行動や質、性格などをもとに世間が持つ一般的な印象や意見のことです。良い場合も悪い場合もあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「have」「build」「earn」「protect」「damage」「ruin」などの動詞とよく組み合わせて使います。「a reputation for honesty」「have a bad/good reputation」もよく使われます。「fame」は単なる有名さ、「reputation」は評価の良し悪しを含みます。
