Definition

レポートは、ある事柄についての情報をまとめた文書や口頭の記録で、公式または組織的に提供されます。ニュース記事や、出来事を当局に伝える報告も含みます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「school reports」は成績表、「sales reports」「medical reports」は業務・医療の報告書。「news reports」はニュース記事。「police reports」は警察への報告書。『report』を動詞として使う場合もある（例：犯罪を通報する）。
