記者とは、ニュースや出来事について情報を集め、それをテレビや新聞、ウェブサイトなどを通じて伝える仕事をする人です。

『記者』は、現場で取材し直接情報を伝える人を指す場合が多いです。「ジャーナリスト」はより幅広い意味を持ち、評論や特集記事も含みますが、「記者」は主にニュースの事実報道を行います。
