「報告」是指提供某種資訊的文件或陳述，也可指正式向有關部門報告某個情況或問題。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))
名詞時常用於正式文件（如school report、police report）。作動詞時，既可指向有關部門舉報，也可指做新聞報導。常見搭配有「write a report」、「report a crime」、「report to work」。不要與「rapport」（關係）混淆。
