“报告”是指提供某种信息的文件或陈述，也可以指正式向有关部门汇报某个情况或问题。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Simplified))

名词时常用于正式文件（如school report、police report）。作动词时，既可指向有关部门举报，也可指作新闻报道。常见搭配有“write a report”、“report a crime”、“report to work”。不要与“rapport”（关系）混淆。
