अगर कोई remiss है, तो वह अपनी जिम्मेदारी निभाने में लापरवाह या असावधान होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

'Remiss' औपचारिक है और आमतौर पर कर्तव्यों, काम या नैतिक ज़िम्मेदारियों में लापरवाही के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है ('remiss in his duties'). प्रायः 'in' के साथ आता है ('remiss in doing something'). यह 'careless' (असावधान) से अधिक गंभीर होता है।
