ある人を裁判のために拘留したり、事件を下級裁判所に戻すことを指します。主に法廷で使われる表現です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

正式な法律用語で、特に『remanded in custody』は拘置中（裁判まで）を、『remanded to court』は事件の差し戻しを指します。日常会話にはあまり使いません。
