Definition

誰かや何かに助けや支え、必要なことをしてくれることを信じて頼ること。

多くの場合「on」と組み合わせて「relying on」として使われる。必要性や信頼を含み、「counting on」よりややフォーマル。

I am relying on you to help me move tomorrow.

明日引っ越しを手伝ってくれると**頼りにしています**。

She is relying on her friends for advice.

彼女はアドバイスを得るために友人たちを**頼りにしている**。

We are relying on good weather for the picnic.
