過去のもので、歴史的、文化的、宗教的な価値を持つ物。特に大切に保存された古い物に使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に歴史や宗教的文脈で使われます。「ancient Romeの遺物」「religious relic（聖遺物）」など。古くて時代遅れの物にも、少しユーモラスに使われます（例：'That phone is a relic!'）。
