Definition

リハーサルとは、俳優や音楽家、講演者などが本番前に行う練習のことです。

主に演劇や音楽、ダンスで使われます。公演前に何回も行います。'dress rehearsal'は本番同様に行う最終リハーサルを指します。英語の'practice'より限定的な意味です。

There are three rehearsals before the play opens.

公演が始まる前に三回の**リハーサル**があります。
