Definition

কোনো কিছু নিয়ন্ত্রণ বা পরিচালনার জন্য নির্ধারিত আনুষ্ঠানিক নিয়ম বা আইন। এটি নিয়ম অনুসারে কিছু নিয়ন্ত্রণ বা পরিচালনার কার্যও বোঝায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'Regulation' শব্দটি 'rule'-এর তুলনায় বেশি আনুষ্ঠানিক ও কারিগরিভাবে ব্যবহার হয়। প্রধানত সরকারি বা শিল্প মান ('health regulations', 'safety regulations') বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এটি নিয়ন্ত্রণের কাজও বোঝায় (যেমন 'temperature regulation')। 'regular' বা 'regulator'-এর সাথে যেন ভুল না হয়।
